What is travel history?

Answer: Travel history is a record of countries a person has visited outside their home country or country or residence. This can be shown via previously issued visas on their passport and immigration stamps showing entrance and exits into those countries visited.

Must I have a travel history before I can travel?

Answer: No/Yes. No because, it is not a pre-requisite for some travel destinations. Yes because it is a compulsory requirement for some other countries.

How do I go about my Travel History?

Answer: You can begin by traveling to a country that is visa free, visa on arrival, or has easy visa application process for your country’s nationals.

What is a Visa?

Answer: A visa is an authorisation by a country, giving entry clearance to a non-national.

Do I need a visa to travel outside Nigeria?

Answer:  Yes/No.

Yes, because it’s a requirement that grants you entry right into your intended country of destination. No, because you may enter some countries (e.g. ECOWAS Territory) without a visa. However, it is important you have a travel document as proof of your identity.

If I am not a Nigerian, do I need a visa to visit Nigeria?

Answer: Yes and No.

Yes, because it is a requirement by the Nigeria Government authorities to gain entry into the country. No, because visitors from the ECOWAS territories do not need a visa to enter Nigeria but must have a travel document for identification like ECOWAS Passport, Government issued ID cards within the ECOWAS region.. (The 15 members of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) are Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Cote d’Ivoire, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Togo).

Does every visa applicant require the same set of supporting documents?

Answer: No. as we differ individually, so also do our supporting documents and personal circumstances differ.

How do I know the right documents for my Visa application?

Answer: You will have to schedule an appointment with one of our travel consultant and pay an admin fee for a consulting session.

Please note that, using the wrong set of supporting documents for your visa application is one of the highest reasons for visa refusals to the UK, US, Europe, Canada, Australia, New Zealand etc.

How do I get the right documents for my Visa application?

Answer: You may have some of these documents at hand. However, for those documents that you may not currently possess, Our travel consultants can refer you to the appropriate bodies you may request those documents from.

Do all visas require the same documentation to all/for all countries?

Answer:  No, visa documentation is specific to individual Countries.

What documents do I need to take on my interview/submission/biometric appointment?

Answer: Our visa facilitation team, who have previously identified your supporting documents and professionally filled your form, will upload them or will hand them over to you for submission.

If I miss my biometrics appointment, will the visa application fees be refunded by the Embassy?

Answer: Kindly note that the visa application will be voided by many countries. For some countries, you could apply for a refund of the visa fees within 90 days, put in a new application and pay fresh visa fees, while in some other countries, the visa fees are non-refundable.

If I miss my biometrics appointment, will the Visa services centre( VFS/TLS) fees be refunded?

Answer:

The service fee for biometric capture is non-refundable in the below cases;

  • If you are late to your appointment
  • If your data is wrong on our website (i.e, Visa type, Name, Passport or ID number)
  • If you withdraw your application at the time of submission
  • If you do not cancel your appointment before your scheduled appointment slot

However, you will have to schedule a new appointment and pay a new service fee if you are still willing to apply.

How long will my visa processing take?

Answer:  Standard visiting visa for most countries is 15 working days. However, there may be inexplicable delays, and the application may take longer than usual.

How do I choose my travel destination?

Answer: A lot of factors can determine where your travel destination will lead. You may decide to travel to study, visit family and friends, volunteer and work, attend a conference or training, overseas holiday and possibly relocate to a certain country.

These are the determinants of where you choose to visit.

Do I need an international passport to travel outside Nigeria?

Answer: No and Yes.

 No, because there are countries within West Africa(ECOWAS) a Nigerian can travel to with an ECOWAS travel certificate, which is valid for 2years.

Yes, because if you are traveling outside the Economic Community of West African states (ECOWAS). You will need an International Passport, which serves as your identity.

Should I purchase travel insurance for my trip?

Answer: We usually recommend that our clients purchase travel insurance, as it serves to protect your travel investment such as your health and belongings. At Loiz Tours & Travels, we can help you procure Travel Insurance.

Do I need to take tests and vaccinations in order to travel outside Nigeria?

Answer: Yes,

We recommend you visit your family doctor before your trip.

  1. You will need to take Malaria and Typhoid fever test and treatment, it can cost a fortune abroad and you may be quarantined.
  2. It is important to take a Yellow fever vaccine as requested by some countries.
  3. Hepatitis A and B tests.
  4. Covid-19 test if it is required by your destination country
  5. It is also advisable to take health insurance.

Please check the travel advisory guidelines of your country of destination.

Question: What is the timeframe for the processing of my International Passport?

Answer:

  • Standard processing time for fresh passports, renewals, re-issue due to lost passport/change of name is for 10 years 64 pages, 5 years 64 pages, and 5 years 32 pages is 6 – 8 weeks. At times, there might be delays due to backlogs from the Nigerian processing authorities.
  • Express processing time for fresh passports, renewals, re-issue due to lost passport/change of name for 10years 64 pages, 5 years 64 pages and 5 years 32 pages is 2 – 3 weeks. At times it may come out in less time.

If I miss my biometric capture date and time, can another time slot be given to me?

Answer:

You will be given another time slot within the same day for late arrival or a 5 working day window to schedule another biometric capture at a cost.

However, kindly keep to the allocated time to ensure you are captured. This will reduce stress and prioritise your time.

Question 27

If I have been captured in a particular location, can I register and capture in another location?

Answer:

Once you have done your biometrics in a location, you cannot re-capture in another location because it is against the law. Attempting to obtain a Nigerian international passport with biometric details at two different places is not feasible and is against the law. Having two valid passports from the same country is a criminal offense in Nigeria, and individuals with biometric details already captured will not be able to get another passport.

Who needs a Nigerian Police Character Report?

Answer: Nigerian citizens who require official documents to prove their criminal record history.

When do I need a Nigerian Police Character Report?

Answer: When applying for a student visa, work visa, or Non-Migrant visa categories and you will need to prove that you have no criminal records. Or have you already relocated but require this document to officially prove your criminal record check.

Answer: We can process it as a third-party service for our customers with the Police Authorities for an applicant within or outside Nigeria at a cost.

Who needs an International Drivers Permit?

Answer: Nigerian travellers who want to enjoy access to valid authorisation to rent and/or drive a vehicle in many nations worldwide that are participants in the 1949 Geneva Convention.

Answer: For Nigerians travelling abroad and want to continue to drive legally while away on your trip

What’s the Refund Policy for the Travel Health Insurance Policy?

Answer: Travel Health Insurance Policy purchased to any destination is non-refundable, except there is a double charge error on the customer account.

If my travel date change, can I change my Insurance Policy?

Answer: One date change can be accommodated at no cost. However changes MUST be made before the Insurance Policy becomes active

Question 36

Will training services fees paid for Online Coaching be refundable?

Answer: Coaching and training services fees paid for International English Language Testing System, IELTS, and Online Coaching Services are non-refundable. However, the customer can reschedule the training at the discretion of the trainer.
